Chalk Paint

Materials:

1. 1-2 cups corn starch
2. 1-2 cups water
3. An old or disposable muffin tin
4. Sponge paintbrushes
5. Food coloring

Directions:

1. Place 2 tablespoons corn starch into one cup of the muffin tin.
2. Pour 2 tablespoons water on top of the corn starch.
3. Add 4 drops food coloring (any color) to the muffin tin. Stir well.
4. Repeat for each color you would like to make. (Note: This would be a good time to teach the children about mixing colors. Ex. they can make orange by mixing red and yellow).
5. Give each child a foam paintbrush and head outside to paint on the driveway or sidewalk.
